The weather is getting nice again, so the dogs and I have been going for walks a lot more often. Today, Vinny decided he wanted to go for a swim, and who am I to stop him =). We were by a busy road so he had to stay on his leash, but he had a good time anyways!

Not only was it a beautiful Saturday here, but I had to work. On my way to work I had to pass this fair thing that is going on by the mall. Made me hate the fact that I had to work on a Saturday even more!!

So it's Strawberry season so of course I got some strawberries! They're all HUGE! This is one of the average size ones, but I loved the shape and color of it so it had to be my picture of the day...and yes it was very good!

We went to the Strawberry Festival in Plant City today. Weather was nice, the crowd was interesting to say the least...but we had some deep fried Oreos, and they were AMAZING! I highly recommend you trying them. I have since tried making them at home and have come pretty darn close...here's the recipe I used:
Ingredients
Directions
1. Freeze cookies for 3 hours.
2. In a sauce pot (or fryer) heat oil to 350 degrees F.
3. While oil is heating, set up a plate or cookie sheet with paper towels for draining.
4. In a medium-sized mixing bowl stir water into buttermilk pancake mix until thoroughly combined. As soon as batter is smooth, dip each cookie, one at a time, into batter and smooth batter, making a thin coat completely around the cookie. Place coated cookie carefully into hot oil. Repeat for each cookie. Fry on both sides, turning over once until golden brown. About 2 minutes total cooking time.
5. Remove fried cookie from hot oil with metal tongs and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
6. Let cool slightly (about 2 minutes) before serving.
